While you are going alone on the street, basking in your solitude, unknowing of what’s around you, all of a sudden you hear a loud noise from behind which extracts you out of your reverie. It is dark and lonely; you get this uncomfortable feeling that you are being followed. IS it a spirit, you do not know. You feel it creeping towards you. You seek refuge but wherever you go, you know you are still being followed. Turn right, turn left, over a wall, dodge a vehicle parked on the street, up a tree, up a tree, behind a door, no matter what you try, you have the same sinking feeling. At this moment you are most vulnerable and you start to run. You find a lantern and turn it on, now you realize that you don’t feel that presence anymore. Content and relieved you continue towards your initial destination. Unfortunately, after some time your light is extinguished. Once again, you sense its presence, in desperation you once again run. You believe he is trailing behind you, but soon you feel its presence ahead too, then to your right and even to your left.
No matter what you do it keeps snapping at you, cause It’s Your ……… PAST.

A very good parable. Nicely written. I did feel there was a slight, about when you have light, the past no more haunts you but later on you stated that whatever you do, it keeps haunting you.
Also what does the light indicate: I assume it indicates a bright future ahead which is very nicely pur. Overall a good writeup
Gripping narration and nicely put in words ..A feeling that cannot be explained yet we know is around ..A past left behind but is always around to haunt in many ways ...something that we want to let go but cannot ...but, there is a hope in the form of light for the future to be different..Like someone once said .. I only wish there was a place to go where there are no memories to haunt you anymore...

dis must be going on display so dat ppl knw dat derz sumthin called as MOVE ON :) well written.. grippin as ever though :)
A very good write up. But, somehow there r some unanswered questions like: what does the light indicate? etc etc.......
Always make sure ur story covers the points: who, what, where, when, how, and why.
That's what makes it complete.
Anyways good work :)
